Our lives are full of usernames and passwords. In order to keep our digital accounts in safe, we keep creating new passwords and updating the existing ones.
The question is, are we confident enough to recall them without getting help from different tools such as notebooks, password management apps like 1Password etc?
In the Apple‘s latest iPhone X film, we see a man who has accepted a memory challenge in a game show.
When he is asked the last question “This morning, you created an online banking password. What is it?” he just gets shocked as he doesn’t remember the password and knows that he has a limited time to try to recall it.
While he feels the pressure and enforces his memory, the film shows us the audience who first gasps, passes out and then laughs at the man.
After he looks down to his iPhone X and unlocks the app thanks to the Face ID feature of the phone, he wins the memory challenge.
Directed by Ringan Ledwidge, iPhone X’s new spot familiarly promotes its Face ID feature which has a unique TrueDepth camera system formed by multiple innovative technologies.
Apple has shared:
“Remembering your password doesn’t have to feel like a memory challenge. With Face ID on iPhone X, your face is your password.”
Forgetting a password is a nightmare for many of us but let’s see if we will be able to adapt ourselves to use new features of smart phones as companies hope to change our habits and lead us to not keep record of our passwords anymore.
